SO impressed with this place! Hard to believe it’s only been open for a couple of weeks, because the experience was so perfect already. Aesthetically it was 10/10, and great music, good wine… BUT THE PIZZA! Seriously the best in Denton. The crust, the flavor, so good. Plus, wonderful, kind and super competent service. Can’t wait to go back and try out the ceramics and catch live music.

Let’s 👏 Go 👏 I’d read about the concept and was excited to try it out once they opened up… have to say it was worth the wait. Had pizza & cocktails and both were phenomenal. Expected a lot more trial/error from a new business but everything I got tasted like something that had been practiced/perfected for years. Cannot wait to go back!

The Pony is the elevated, welcoming, creative third space that Denton needed. The environment is warm and welcoming and the owners are so kind and the space itself is gorgeous with plenty of room to sit, eat, drink, make pottery, and listen to live music. The owners were so sweet and gave me some free dessert. I tried the strawberry basil cheesecake and the tres leches and both were amazing. 10/10 recommend for the atmosphere, the food, and the people.

5 stars only because i don’t want to mess up the rating but… i’ve never had to salt a pizza before today. for the price it really lacked any flavor. i had the jalapeño pep and it really didn’t evoke any kind of feeling in me :/ crust was yummy though. but for a $26 price tag… my eyes should be popping out of my head. i will try again, and edit my review next time i visit. the caprese sandwich was good and the ingredients were quality. perfect tomato’s and you could really taste the quality of the olive oil… also after some salt. some arugula or balsamic would really bring the whole sandwich together. it was a three topping sandwich for $15. i’ll be back to try other stuff after things are ironed out! congrats on opening the pony!

Everybody is extremely pleasant, the clay is completely workable, even for someone who’s never worked with clay before. Food is expensive but worth every penny, it’s best artisan pizza I’ve had in my life. The owners and everybody who worked there was nothing but friendly. I’ve never had a better dining experience. Thank you, The Pony, this is my new favorite spot in Denton.
